GPX (GPS Exchange Format) is an XML-based GPS data exchange format and the de facto standard for exchanging data between GPS devices and applications. GPX supports three core data types: Waypoints (single location points), Routes (ordered path point sequences), and Tracks (GPS-recorded point sequences with timestamps). GPX files can be generated by various GPS devices, sports watches, and mobile apps.
